Michael Christiana

Born and raised in Hartford, CT. I served in the US Army before receiving a BFA from the University of Hartford. I then went on and finished my education with an MFA from the Yale University School of Art and Architecture. I taught painting, drawing and printmaking for over twenty-five years at the college level. Working primarily in acrylics and often in a series, I paint what appeals to me and the canvas has been a road to that end. My prints are in permanent collections at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, Whitney Museum, New York, NY, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY and numerous private collections. I have exhibited in the US and Europe with the Smithsonian Institution traveling services. Retirement has found my wife and I settling in New Mexico where I continue to paint and exhibit my work.
