Meda Norbutaitė

I am an artist (oil painting using relief texture and glaze, mixed media drawing) based in Vilnius, Lithuania. My area of interest is human life, relationships, feelings, behavior in social, political, psychological, etc. aspects. Grotesque helps to express my view on the things in life.

Was born in 1969 in Lithuania. 1985 graduated from Šiauliai Art School. Since 1987 studied at Kaunas Higher School of Arts, graduating in 1990 (speciality in mural painting). 1990–1998 studied at Šiauliai University Faculty of Arts, acquiring MA in the Humanities (art criticism, painting, academic adviser prof. V. Gečas). 1997–2011 worked as teacher at Šiauliai University Faculty of Arts, Drawing Department. Since 2006 works as teacher of art subjects at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. In 2016 was awarded the pedagogical title of Associate Professor in Arts.
