I have loved photography from watching my father develop black and white prints on our washing machine in a makeshift darkroom illuminated by an eerie orange light in our laundry room in our basement, to borrowing a camera on weekends from my job at a camera distributer in order to shoot pictures of whatever, to shooting my first 4x5 negative and making a color print myself, to seeing my first 8x10 transparency that I shot and viewed on a light box in utter amazement at it's beauty, to looking a digital image shot on my first kodak camera and seeing it on a computer screen, to manipulating images on my Apple computer on my huge Apple color monitor using photoshop which seemed like a gift from the Gods, and finally ending up seeing my first image on an Apple iPhone for the first time. Ah yes the Apple iPhone. A device that seemed to change photography forever. Digital imaging has been a part of my photographic life from its beginnings to the present where the iPhone became an instrument for me to create my present day art. Combining that with immediacy of Photoshop and the ease of making archival prints on an Epson printer has gotten me to where I am today.
