Michael Hubbard

Michael Hubbard was born in the suburbs of Detroit and currently lives in Midland, Texas. Hubbard works primarily in the medium of painting but frequently meanders into the realm of multimedia installation. He received a BFA in Painting from SCAD in 2009 and an MFA in Painting with a minor in Digital Art from Washington State University in 2011. He has taken part in national group and solo exhibitions at Quetzalcoatl Gallery in Seattle, Gallery 110 at South Dakota State University, and the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago, among many others. His most recent installation was featured at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center in Odessa, Texas. Hubbard currently works as Instructor of Painting at Midland College and has recently been appointed Director of the McCormick Gallery in Midland, Texas.
