Michele Marangoni

Gradueted in philosophie and history from University of Bologna in 1970,dedicated his efforts to literature and criticism.He then took up sculpting under the guidance of the ceramist Marta Proni,afterwards his wife,,concentrig his attentions on the plastic aspect.Later he took up oil painting from 1999,following a surrealistic trend,more and more became deeper in his original performance.in then last he has elaborated particulary then subject of the portrait.
His painting is inspired by the Surrealism,preferably Rene Magritte,who finds the strange in the common things.He works on various themes:portraits,landscapee,foods,bodies-linked togheter by trasversal ways.Recently Marangoni gathered his artwork over the theme of the portrait,developed in inusual variants.
