Miche Watkins

I am a narrative figurative artist, using street art as a background to my art. I obtain the street artist's permission before I incorporate their work into my composition and tag them in to my Instagram feeds to give them added exposure. I place a woman in the foreground performing an action which changes the dynamic of the 2d street art, bringing art to life and vice versa. I paint in oils. The viewer can make up his or her own mind as to what is happening in the painting. I get some interesting feedback as a result.

I live in Bristol UK, and did my Foundation in art at The University of the West of England before starting a degree in Illustration. For personal reasons I had to abandon the degree, but have always attended art classes to hone my art skills and taught life drawing for several years here in Bristol.
