Mihaela Constantin

Born in Romania in 1992, Mihaela Constantin is an interdisciplinary artist
who emerged from a scientific field, chemistry, but switched to visual
arts painting, art installations, photography, costume design and
performance. Her chemistry background can be noticed in the way she
mixes textures, colors and recycled materials.
Currently studying for a PhD in visual arts, she has a Master's degree in
fashion and costume design and a Bachelor's degree in painting from
the National University of Arts in Bucharest.
Active since 2013, her works have been displayed in numerous group
exhibitions, biennials and galleries worldwide and are currently present
in both private and museum collections. Her work encompasses a wide
spectrum of approaches. She simultaneously uses gestural painting and
decorative surfaces to visually enhance her compositions in abstract and
figurative works on paper and canvas.
