Milen Ivanov

I was born in June 1978 in Veliko Tarnovo. Often referred to as the "City of the Tsars", Veliko Tarnovo is located on the Yantra River and is famous as the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. My passion for drawing and painting is from an early age. During the years of my primary education I was impressed by the traditional Bulgarian iconography and started making copies of the Bulgarian and Byzantine Icons. I continued to teach in the local school of arts to high school graduation. Then I studied photography at New Bulgarian University. Now my interests are focused mainly on art photography, abstract and figurative painting. Also lately I work with digital techniques. The unifying element between them is the freedom to express myself, with a variety of technical means. Most important to me is the impact of my work on people's feelings and emotions they provoke in them. Here comes the necessity for my work to be shared and to come to the attention of more people.
