Miriam Reyes

I'm a Spanish poet working in different formats: written poetry, performance, photography and video. Though born in Galicia, I grew up in Caracas since age 8. I studied at Universidad Central de Venezuela and I hold a B.A. on Hispanic Philology by Universitat de Barcelona (Spain). Besides Spain and Venezuela, I have lived in Holland and Jordan. I currently reside in Barcelona, Spain.
I have published six poetry collections and some of my books are translated to Portuguese and Italian. I'm included in "Ten Contemporary Spanish Women Poets" , edited and translated by Terence Dooley (Shersman Books, 2020).
From the year 2000 I combine my written poetry with photography, performance, new technologies and video.
