Yuliya Melnikova

I am ukrainian artist, living and working partly in Poland, partly in Ukraine. I was born in Kiev, where I was graduated an IT engineer.

Many years of self-studying and passion for fine art and contemporary art made me to join Igor Sakharov’s private school and David Cheifetz tutorial classes.
I’m fond of wine culture, that significantly influenced my works and gives me a lot of inspiration.
Last time I thoroughly immersed myself in the study of Buddhism, that significally influenced my works.
My paintings can be found in private collections in the USA, Germany, Hong Kong, Poland, Montenegro, Belarus and Ukraine.

In my opinion, painting is an emotion. Pure substance. Painting - a feeble attempt to bring emotion into a tangible object and share with her audience. Painting - this is a chance to find a kindred spirit. Even not so: it is a chance to find someone who also feels like you.

I would like to share my unspoken, perhaps even sometimes not completely understood, sense and vision of things. I would like to see my work gave you the warmth and joy with every glance.
