Trained at St Martins School of Art ( Byam Shaw) ~ first class honours, and later an MA at Goldsmiths College (4 years prior to Damien Hirst)

Some very big gaps in my painting career doing other things.

Artwise. formative life experiences have perennially preoccupied my imagination in various guises. Combining an interest in metaphysics with the spontaneous, I also like to playfully explore the unconscious. "˜Drawing' on these passions, there is a fascination with unwrapping the mysterious and then possibly wrapping it up again whilst at the same time reinventing child-like expressiveness. Sometimes the strongest emotions give rise to the strangest images.

My work has been selected for many group shows e.g. the Institute of Contemporary Art, The Whitechapel Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Royal College of Art, and The Best of British Drawing Show, at the Hayward Gallery.

Recent shows also include: The Mall Galleries (The Discerning Eye), The Bankside Gallery, Mauger Modern Art (Bath), Menier Old Chocolate Factory and Deutche Bank.
