Motoko Lewis

I was born and grew up in Japan. My childhood experiences included the practice of Japanese calligraphy and hopeless piano lessons which instilled in me my natural desire to draw today. Since moving to the US, my intermittent absence from drawing led me to engage in the learning of animal husbandry, specifically small animal massage, spiritual healing, and dog training. Today, I strive to let my faculties be free from the superficial, and rather be a vessel that communicates in the form of marks on a two-dimensional surface.
