I was always interested in drawing as a kid, particularly cars and comics. I studied art and architecture a bit after high school, but then life got in the way…. job, wife, kids, houses, boats, skis, cars, and college tuitions. Whew! The next thing I knew I was semi retired at 65. Where did all that time go? I wouldn’t change a minute of it but, now what?

At that point I started looking at drawing and painting as a hobby and explored a number of mediums and styles. I decided to focus on the study of Chinese Brush Painting. There was something restful about the simplicity....the tranquility and the Zen of it that just made me feel good. I wondered if I would be able to share those feelings in paintings of my own. You, as the viewer will have to be the judge.

As I continue to study (so much to learn!) and to paint, I'm sure I'll veer off on tangents other than traditional brush painting, perhaps something more contemporary. We'll see. I hope you'll follow along and together, we'll see where it takes us.
