Piers Muiry

b.1996, Piers Muiry depicts facets of life and imagination.

Taking inspiration from instrumental music and the ebb and flow of the human experience, Piers creates novel sensory experiences through his delicate use of colour and form. Both a divergent thinker and a self-confessed chronic daydreamer, his work is the result of cross-pollinating multiple fields of exploration. Recent endeavours combine his research into the spectral absorption properties of pigments with pre-existing theories on the functioning of human cognition. His new series of paintings can be seen as both exercises in visual harmony, as well an insight into the nature of perception.
