Margaret W Gallegos

Born Santa Monica, CA; maintains studio in Los Angeles, plus a small workspace annex in Paris. Studied with Richard Diebenkorn and William Brice, BA Painting and Printmaking UCLA. Works abstractly and representationally drawing on memory, imagination or even iconic images while relying on process and intuition for her eclectic style. Her images have a sensuous paint skin whether thick or thin and show a strong interiority sometimes with piquant touches of humor. Her work has been shown widely in both solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
