Nahuel Taján

I make oil paintings based on preconceived own photographies, result of my travels and experiences. Based on them I create sketches and de-construct them to create new images, based on illustrations, as well as modify the photographies with collage. I try to create a visual question of a sensory and social experience. Constructing a painting with a technical and formal structure that I enjoy, and an image the creates a fleeting vision of an event usually makes more questions come up than finished answers. I want to achieve that the painting is attractive in colors and structure, and on the other hand create that question mark that makes one think of a possible discourse.
