Luis Carlos Lopez

I was born in the southern colombian city of Pasto. I have always liked drawing and painting and started drawing comics when I was a kid, at my grandfather's house, where I spent long afternoons with my teenage aunts. My mother started to study art when I turned 8, so I was arised between brushes, pencils, different kinds of paper and materials. When I turned 10 I left my colred pencils to start working with pastel. When I finished the school I applied to study a Fine Arts career at University of Nariño. After I finished my studies I could not continue working on my paintings regularly, I had to perform several jobs to pay the bills, but the point is that I can not breathe without art... I am working to fullfill my dream to be a full time artist and continue learning and practicing my technique. I hope you like my art work.
