Neil Fontaine

I have been painting for 20 years and meditating for 30 but only recently did I fuse the two together. This dance between meditating while painting brought about a whole new style to my paintings.

The new style is abstract that sometimes resembles real life. While meditating, I will often see loose images and feel emotions. My goal is to capture those feelings and images in my painting.

For this reason, when I start a painting, I rarely know what I am going to paint. While I am painting, it evolves and changes into something, which is always a surprise and delight to me. When people view the finished work, they all find meaning within the painting. When they feel something, I know I have created a successful painting.


He paints each stroke with emotions and his soul, making each painting spiritual and part of him.
