Nerkiz Akcura

Born in China.
The artist started her art career with miniature art. Starting from 1999, she has been giving art classes at Turkish Culture Foundation, which is located in one of the most touristic areas in Istanbul, Sultan Ahmet. Also throughout her art career, she has attended to many group exhibitions both in local and international settings.
In her own modern, unique and naive style impressionist paintings, the artist prefers to use oil, acrylic and water color paint.
The artist has been awarded with many remarkable prizes throughout her career, and the latest ones include 2017 and 2016 Nittoten Awards. The artist got the first rankings in consequtive years, at Machida Museum of Graphic Arts in Tokyo.

Studied at Istanbul University, Turkey.
Started her art career on Turkish art, specifically on miniature art. She worked with highly-recognized artists in her art career and excelled herself in various areas (abstract, modern and impressionist styles).
The artist has been giving art classes on miniature art in Istanbul since 1999. Additionally, in her own studio she has been creating her unique paintings for over 25 years.
