Nihat Evren Derman

Nihat Evren Derman was born in Istanbul in 1981. His artistic career has been inspired by his father, Hüseyin Cahit Derman. In 2008, Nihat graduated from the Department of Plastic Arts in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yeditepe University with a scholarship, which was granted to high achievers. Between 2001 and 2008, Derman continued his study in many artists' workshops including Özdemir Altan, Engin İnan, Mustafa Ata and Zahit Büyükişleyen. Being one of the representatives of contemporary romantic art trend, Derman composes his works with eclectic method by combining classical figures and modern colors. In addition to painting, he has also worked on serigraphy, lithography, gravure, photography, ceramic, sculpture and interior design.

Derman's works can be seen in museums, national and international special collections. He is a member of International Association of the Plastic Arts (UNESCO).
