My paintings explore the research of visual phenomenology - understanding that the perception of the ordinary and banal object is produced only through the product of human cognition and experience. By highlighting objects that are either focused upon or otherwise omitted by the media, we can draw our own conclusion through paint whether the object is truly ominous, or something to be emphasised with.
