Nick Lang

I am a self-taught British artist based in Graz, Austria. I work mostly in acrylic, usually on canvas or wood, although I also enjoy working in other media. In my art I like to convey my fascination and love of the world around us - the beauty that is found in even seemingly mundane objects and situations. I deliberately ignore definitions of style and subject matter, treating a still-life as a landscape or a portrait or figures as still life.
While still living in England, I took part in several exhibitions and was a member of the Bedford Art Society and The Ouse Valley Artists. A number of my paintings were reproduced in instructional art books by Harper Collins. Since I have been living in Graz I have had had four solo exhibitions.
