I've worked in the performing arts nonprofit sector my entire adult life but my deepest passion has always been explored in my own little art studio at home. My art has always been the way I express myself most deeply and most honestly. Its how I sort through feelings and find catharsis. The artistic process has played a pivotal role in every step of my life and as I enter my mid 30s with house and husband and two darling cats, I look forward to continuing and sharing this journey.

I studied studio art at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. I continue to explore a variety of mediums but continually find myself drawn back to a study of the ways texture from everyday substances can take traditional acrylic painting off the canvas and into the living space. No two paintings have the same process but they all explore this same theme. My education is ongoing. :-)
