Nmpm Patrick And Nan Massobrio

NMPM's creations, taking many forms such as painting, sculpture, jewelry, animated films and writing, draw inspiration from Pop Culture, le Fantastique, Nature and their own childhood.
Childhood is found both in the themes explored and in the media used such as VHS, turned obsolete but still carrying many moviegoer’s memories, or Caizongs, traditional Chinese ornaments made of paper and sewing threads that have almost fallen in oblivion. Attached to the past without being nostalgic, NMPM breath new life to these objects through contemporary artworks.
Mixing both European and Asian cultures, their works surprise, entertain, and may sometimes be a little disturbing, but are always filled with an offbeat kind of poetry.
Former Practical Effects artists Nan & Patrick Massobrio, aka NMPM, are a couple of professional visual artists born respectively in China & Monaco, and actually living and working in Monaco.
They are members of Monaco's International Association of Arts (AIAP) and featured in the "Annuaire des Artistes".
