Glen Schofield

Glen A. Schofield. Born in NYC. I have been painting and drawing ever since I can remember. I started taking art lessons at a young age and continued through my childhood and teen years with more formal art training, art shows and even some awards. I graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA majoring in painting and illustration. My professional art career started that year as an illustrator in New York City. I had an agent who represented my work. During the next 12 or so years I worked for some of the largest companies in the world, created many magazine illustrations including covers, billboards, game covers, hundreds of ads and work for ad agencies, book publishers and exhibited in numerous shows and source books. My work included a fulltime comic strip for 10 years, cartoon characters for an animated television series and many video games.After over a decade in the Manhattan Art world, my wife, Barbara, and I moved from N.Y. in 1994 to Northern California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, where I began to explore new approaches to painting.
