The versatile oeuvre of the Berlin artist Olga Maykl is dedicated to the research of human nature by means of brushes and paints. On the canvases created by Olga, the human image flickers, disappears and appears in a multidimensional dotted line. Unrestrained triumph of colour, broken forms, harmonious confrontation of different types of paint and shading, figurative images, crystallized from the musical elements of the abstract and dissolving in it - such is the unique style of the artist.
Her works are produced with many different techniques, such as combining acrylic with pastel colours for a rich texture in the pictures. In her oil paintings she uses narrow lines to create spatial depth and single strokes to create movement in the statics.
