Sharon Olga Schlitner Radionov

I was born in Minsk, former Soviet Union,in 1979, and emigrated to Israel where I currently live, at the age of 12. I hold an MD degree from Tel-Aviv University, and practice medicine on a part time basis. I've been painting since an early age but after completing my medical education I've been developing my artist career, dividing my
time between creating and promoting my art.

I'm an autodidact artist, in my work I explore not only the subject but the innate qualities of color as an autonomic substance, it's consistency, balance of shapes and chromatic intermixing. The use of liquid colors creates a smooth surface, giving the impression of the painting being poured onto the canvas. I apply and guide colors across the canvas with the aid of differently shaped wooden tools rather than brushes.
In my work the color itself has a prominent role as expressing not only the subject but its own intrinsic qualities. mixing different consistency colors lends my works their three dimensional effect, as some of the colors stand out or sink against the others
