Ryn Osbourne

O-MIT is the Chicago based print studio of emerging artist and arts administrator Ryn Osbourne.

​The work of OMIT makes space for authenticity and desire. In her work, Ryn creates space to be with fear in the calm of blue. Through kinetic drawing, and a process of responding to internal dialogue, Ryn creates cyanotypes, omitting attachment to self.

​OMIT is a space for experimentation, advancing traditional cyanotype printing techniques to create contemporary works.

In 2018, I studied with artist Joseph Grigely at SAIC, who encouraged a pushing of process and radical play

In 2014, I studied in Prague under the mentorship of curator Jiri Ptacek and artist Alena Kotzmannova. My work is strongly influenced by Czech contemporary and avant garde art.
