Jorge Sacaan

Jorge Sacaan Riadi, I am Professor of State, graduated at the University of Chile, was born on June 15, 1947 in Santiago, Chile. Poet, Visual artist Editor of books of art, literature and poetry. It belongs to APECH, AIA, and the Corporación Caballo de Fuego. His works are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Chile, and collections in France, Spain, Italy. Portugal and Pakistan. He has received awards and recognitions in the field of visual arts. Of its poetry it emphasizes Viento Blanco Poemario dedicated to the martyrs of Antuco and a numerous selection in printed anthologies exhibited in Internet.

Art has always been my vocation, in my early years was the movement and the game, then was the dance and capture my look through the image. Today, everything is merged into a state where existence and the way of traveling around the world has built my own way of life. In my works I seek the recreation and reconstruction of forms as scenarios whose meanings reflect my beliefs. In front of the canvas or the scene, I evoke and try not to interfere in the manifestation of the gesture, in order to generate a mark that marks my path. In poetry I use metaphors, in photography I give rein to my eyes and in painting I go in search of a language that encourages me to free my inner space through the gesturing of forms, color, lines, etc. Having the possibility to work and generate a language that gives my works, freedom and success, is an act that promises me to introduce myself by listening to the horizon with the expectation of an existential meaning that goes in search of that vital site where humanity keep their riches as if it were life itself. Roberto Matta once said, "All I want is to be part of the look of some stray, someone who feels more alone than Adam," I adhere to that thought, I would like to be part of someone's look ...
