ARTIST STATEMENT

My fine-art practice explores the concept of fantasy, illusion, love and its temporariness in relation to celebrity culture that we see all around us.
I always try to explore as many forms, time periods and materials to reflect the ephemeral nature of love. Over a period of time I have explored different mediums and material that become a part of my installations like print- making, paintings, photography, abstract sketches, Photoshop / digital means, paper, post-it's, digitalized Polaroid's, projection art etc. to explore the subject matter of my art work.
It deals with love as an obsession and madness from a fans perspective for a celebrity sometimes also known as celebrity worshipping and the relationship that springs out between the two. The work also explores an underlying theme of love, infatuation and illusion where celebrities have been used as a medium to explore the subject matter.
