Patricia Chaparro was born in Bogota, Colombia. She has travelled throughout her life and lived in Italy, France and Indonesia and now currently resides in Asheville, NC. Her work is a fascinating amalgamation of South American, Asian, and European cultures.
Her paintings are passionate, sensual; they are the explosions of bright, amidst the work in texture. There seems the movement towards the spiritual; something she attributes to her years lived in Bali, Indonesia where its part of the everyday life.
