Paul James Blewitt

Paul James comes from a mixed heritage of many different rich cultures combining and coming together. This cross-cultural mix brings the most inspiration within his works and most of the time influences where and what direction a painting goes, bringing a very unique experience to the viewer.

“My paintings try to encapsulate many different cultures and techniques. I try to incorporate many different aspects of the Earth and the Earth’s peoples, from Indigenous culture to Modern Abstract. My aim is to combine many aspects and many forms of art genres which have developed over time from many different countries and cultures, bringing together the past and the present.”

“I hope and believe that my art can bring people together to have a better understanding of each other and have a shared experience in many different cultures. As I very rarely has a set plan for a painting it comes straight from the heart and its connection with my ancestors, telling their stories through my paintings.”
