Paul Watson

I did a BA degree in painting and print making at Ravensbourne in Kent and embarked on a full time career as a landsacpe artist working primarily in watercolour. After several one man shows I secured an agent and was able to secure a permanent selection of works at the in store gallery at Liberty of Regent St. This exposed my works to an international clientele and in tandem with this organic growth my American agent secured private sales and commissions in Los Angeles and across the US. UK corporate commissions included a major brewery and a global hotel group, which led to sales in Hong Kong whilst this was yet to be handed back to the PRoC. Feeling I had reached a creative ceiling,( that is common with many artists), I took a step back to find a new roadmap for my art.
I took a radical step-in fact taking a five year sabbatical from representational painting to write. This intended break form the world of painting became a new career as a film writer and director!
I moved to Los Angeles and between painting casually and occasional sales on a one off basis I was completely smitten with film making-which included many visual challenges that satisfied my artist side. So how did I arrive here?
