Payton Trim

I am a Southern based artist in Mississippi. I have had an interest in art from an early age. I began painting around age four. I was self taught from early on, learning from trial and error and experimentation. Part of me wishes at times that I had been trained formally. And at the same time, had I been, I'm not so sure I would be who I am today. The need to create has been within me my whole life. Most of my inspiration comes from within. Emotion and life experience serve as my muse. Art is a cornerstone of my life today. It is a form of deep expression that has served as my personal foundation in becoming who I am today.

I was never formally instructed in the arts. I attended some college in my early twenties. At the time I was unsure of what I wished to pursue in the world as far as a career. Now, having a better understanding of myself, I hope to find a lasting career path in the arts.
