Perry Curties (born in London, 1975) is an artist known for producing highly stylised, conceptual, studio-based photographic imagery. His work employs a dramatic use of lighting and composition built around a visual language that is closely linked to editorial fashion photography.
The themes behind his work include religion and futurism which are often expressed in minimalist figurative portraits using dancers and fashion models.
Alongside a number of growing private commissions Perry is regularly tasked to apply his signature style to commercial projects for organisations such as the English National Ballet, Issey Miyake, Chanel, The BBC and various movie companies.
Perry is also the co-founder and editor in chief of 125 Magazine, the seminal photography title launched in 2003 as a gallery space in-print, providing hundreds of photographers around the world with a space to showcase new and innovative photography. He has also curated and produced a number of group photography exhibitions in London, New York and Tokyo.
