I'm a belgian artist. I develop a personal technique that combines oil painting with oxidation processes, deliberately integrating chemical transformation into the act of painting. Time becomes a fundamental element of the work, acting on the surface and gradually altering the material.
Between controlled gesture and acceptance of unpredictability, I allow oxidation to inscribe its own marks, revealing unexpected textures and subtle tonal variations. The material evolves, acquires a patina, and transforms, as if carrying a silent memory.
My paintings evoke inner landscapes, fragile horizons, and barely suggested architectural forms. They do not seek to fix an image, but rather to bear witness to a process, a passage, and an aesthetic of impermanence.
I had studied architecture and graphic arts. In painting, I am completely self-taught.
I partcipe soon to exposure of the National Watercolor Society, Los Angeles, (10/2015), and the Belgian Watercolour Fair, (10/2015), and Mons Aquarellades (02/2016) ...
