Philip King

Born in North Wales and brought up on a small farm near the town of Pwllheli. Phil was brought up surrounded by the rugged welsh landscape and coastal areas of the Llyn Peninsula.

His drawing skills were not bad at school but he was never happy with the level of detail he wanted to encapsulate, so photography became the perfect medium to translate his ideas,stories and memories.

Most outings are planned for light & weather but he is also a photographer of chance when he goes out walking with the camera to see what happens.

Forging his craft using digital tools the process has led him to work with medium & large format film. Philip's main focus is normally the landscape but as his experience has grown other influences have steered his view to deeper and more meaningful relationships with the world around us.
