Nadiia Polurenko

The young artist specializes in black and white ink on paper. Her landscape works are the most convincing. Polurenko Nadezhda actively uses in her technique the rich possibilities of the material - in particular, the textures that arise due to the fluidity of the mascara. The artist rubs and smears it with her finger, scratches it, achieving certain effects. Her landscapes are characterized by intimacy and even fragmentation. Courtyards and their fragments, depicted with numerous details and details, are distinguished by almost photographic accuracy. Old gates, doors, balconies, linen hung in the courtyard, walls entwined with wild grapes reflect the peculiarities of cozy courtyards of southern Ukrainian cities. Lighting plays an important role in these images, through which volume is organized and a sense of space is created. In parallel, the artist turns to the animalistic genre, depicts people. She is in search, goes along the path of development and improvement of skills. But already now her works, reminiscent of old photos, attract attention with their authenticity, nostalgia and full of feeling.

I was born and live in the city of Kherson. In 2010 she graduated from the State Art Academy. Since that time, she has seriously taken a great interest in graphics, and it has become a really favorite thing. I continue to develop in this technique. The themes of the works are different, these are portraits, family series of works, landscapes. In general, the customer has enough imagination for everything (I am very diplomatic in this regard). I also paint on the walls, I know techniques - watercolor, painting, batik.
