ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In Iranian Men’s 19th Century, I embark on a visual journey that seeks to unravel the multifaceted dimensions of Iranian men's lives during the Qajar period. Utilizing collage techniques with a contemporary vision, this collection aims to shed light on the diverse experiences, challenges, and societal roles that defined the lives of men in 19th-century Iran. The Qajar era, characterized by a dynamic interplay of tradition, political changes, and cultural transformations, serves as the backdrop for this exploration. Through the medium of collage, I weave together visual elements sourced from historical imagery, offering a layered narrative that captures the complexities of Iranian men's lives during this pivotal time.
