I am a professional artist based out of Austin, Texas. I have been painting for over 20 years, in many different styles, but enjoy painting primarily in abstract expressionism. This simply means I use paint and other media to express externally what’s bubbling up in my mind, body and spirit. At the heart of my work is a call to all of us to live unapologetically in our own truth. My process involves journaling and meditating before any paint touches the canvas. Afterwards, using intuition as my guide, I make marks, write, and layer paint while letting go of what the final result may be. At the end of the process, I have expressed something greater than myself, yet extremely authentic and honest. I have come to know this process as that of making Honest Art, and I teach it to students in both online and in-person workshops, as well as on my Youtube channel and through my social media following.
