I am a contemporary French artist whose artistic journey began when he graduated from Fine Arts in the 90s. My passion for painting has always been the driving force behind my creation. I have lived and taught at the Calaisis art school since 2000. Committed to questioning my favorite medium of painting, I came to work on its mode of presentation most often highlighted by the frame. But beyond the frame, more general questions become clearer: the off-screen, the border, the inside-outside. A passionate designer, each work has been the subject of numerous sketches, from the most spontaneous scribble to a millimeter plan reminiscent of industrial design. Tedious work but necessary for the good production of the work. Most often, I make my frames myself with the precision of an artisan carpenter, a frame that I polish, varnish or paint according to the needs of the project. This handmade work gives each work a unique and personal touch.
