"Discovery of Second Hand Isolation" is a digital art piece that represents feelings of isolation upon learning (or perhaps realizing through maturity) that most of the family you have known and loved, and who loved you, were biologically unrelated to you. There were no revelations; the awareness presented itself over time and upon losing the patriarch and matriarch of the family so caring and dear to you, the connection was as much lost from the others as was from yourself. A feeling of complete difference from all others was in a sense vindicated after so many years of questioning why you among so many was so different in your thoughts, beliefs, principles, and character. The recognition was profound when fully revealed to me only so many years later upon realizing the many communal and societal connections lost through a chance of fate. There is no benefit in longing for what one never had, but fascinating to recognize what could have been if only the village stepped forward to intervene in justice so many years ago.
