Turingismus Series: (Alan Turing Portrait) The artworks in this series include collages of equations, binary code, Fibonacci numbers and pattern formations based on his experimental work on the Chemical Basis of Morphogenesis plus notes from Alan Turing's life.** Certain editions also include an abstracted, dot-matrix style, rainbow coloured, British Union flag. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence. Turing was prosecuted for homosexuality in 1952, when such acts were still criminalised in the UK. He accepted treatment with oestrogen injections (chemical castration) as an alternative to prison.
