Alberto Luoni is a contemporary Italian artist. Born in 1976 near Varese where he currently lives and works. After attending the Art School of Varese he specialized in graphic design at the Wall Street Institute. His search for artistic expression began with figurative painting and evolved into a style closer to pop art, using collage and mixed media. These characteristics are recognizable in the works done as graphic designer. The artistic style entails the use of colours, acrylic mediums and transfers as well as recycled papers and industrial graphic papers. The vintage style of the halftone screen, standing out from the background, merges with the "voids" present on the screen. The depth of the work is achieved with the support of a series of layers similar to a digital file. As for the subjects and objects of the works, these are normally chosen for the expressive power they convey, using shapes and colours to create a form of cohesion.
