I am a Minneapolis-based artist whose journey into the world of digital art took an unexpected turn after suffering a life-threatening stroke. I put my energy into art as a way to cope with the trauma and frustration of what life looks like after having a stroke. I find it therapeutic...and I feel that is what art should be. I acknowledge that this is AI art, and some people may feel it isn’t true art. After my stroke, I lost the ability to use me dominate left hand. Soon after, I discovered AI art, and it opened up an entirely new world to me. I finally found a way I could still be creative without being stifled by my physical limitations. It may not be considered art, it is the art I have the ability to create…and for that, I am incredibly grateful. I hope my art can serve as a reflection of resilience, hope, and the beauty found in overcoming adversity. My ultimate goal is to embody the transformative power of art and the resilience that can emerge from life's unexpected challenges.
