Born on the remote island of Feydhoo, Maldives, I have spent much of my adult life in Malé, the nation's capital, where my artistic journey truly took shape. My work is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and intricate craftsmanship of the Maldives—a love that drives me to rediscover and revive forgotten artistic elements. Through a contemporary lens, I breathe new life into old Maldivian arts, rare local patterns, and historical trends, presenting them in fresh, modern styles. Each piece I create is a balance between heritage and innovation, inviting viewers to experience the Maldives in ways both nostalgic and new. I believe that art is a bridge between past and future—an evolving story told through vibrant colors, intricate details, and cultural resonance. Whether through traditional motifs, maritime inspirations, or reimagined historical themes, my work celebrates the timeless beauty and identity of the Maldives.
