Joshua Oyeleye (b.2003), is a self taught visionary and Nigerian artists, He had his elementary education and went on to pursue his degree at the first university in Africa, known as the premier university of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. From an early age, Joshua has been captivated by the power of art to transcend conventional boundaries and provoke thought. His journey as an artist is marked by a relentless pursuit of innovation and a deep commitment to exploring the multifaceted nature of human nature through his work. Joshua artistic practice embraces the norms of traditional realism,by inviting viewers to engage with his pieces on a deeper, more introspective level. He believes that art should reflect reality more and also serve as a conduit for emotional and intellectual exploration. By embracing realism and through portrait figures, Joshua creates immersive narratives that resonate with the complexities of contemporary life, encouraging art collectors and art lovers to find their own interpretations and connections within his work. ARTIST STATEMENT--------Using acrylic and charcoal and any other available medium within my reach, I strive to transcend the ordinary and delve into the extraordinary realms of human nature and experience. My artistic journey is fueled by a desire to embrace the notions of realism through figures, inviting viewers to engage with art on a deeper level. In my creations, I embrace Figures and expressions as tools to express complex ideas and feelings. Each piece serves as a narrative tapestry woven from my observations, experiences, and reflections on contemporary life. I invite collectors to explore these narratives, to find their own meanings within the vibrant colors and dynamic forms that characterize my work.
