I use color, lighting and composition to create dramatic watercolor and acrylic paintings that combine both still life and landscape. I am interested in the way that nature takes hold in the city and goes about its business in ways that disregard and seem to ignore the overbuilt human environment around it. My acrylics and later watercolors depict the animal and insect world thriving in this seemingly hostile environment.
