Evgenia Tarasova, b. 1982, Leningrad Interdisciplinary artist. She lives and works in St Petersburg. +7 921 559-58-14 In 2006, she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. She is engaged in architectural design and teaches. She is a member of the Union of Architects of Russia. The New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater is one of the objects of her architectural practice. The artist experiments with graphics, painting, and print techniques, and she also works in objects and installations. Her first solo exhibition was held in 2018. The study of architecture, ancient writing, and archaic consciousness has had a major influence on her artistic methods. In her works, she studies the influence of technologies on views of the world, addresses pre-verbal experience, and searches for spatial approaches in the conveying of narrative. Evgenia's works invite the viewer to assemble their narrative of the proposed materials. The artistic method is based on a specifically developed attitude to the space, the importance of the symbol, and the signification system. She enters into a dialogue with the cultural tradition.
