I draw as a way of processing my world, the joy, the sorrow, the confusion, the vibrancy, the yearning I see and experience around me. The tension between what is and what has happened are vitally important to me; my artist's instinct drives me to the fulcrum of that tension. A tree leaning over after a storm is a story I want told, whether that story is communicated via a camera or the pen, the transmission of what is matters most--getting it down, completing the circle of vision and creation. I have been drawing and painting since early childhood. My undergraduate degree included theatre design as well as dramatic training. After working as a screenwriter in Hollywood for many years, I began making art films as both director and art director. My paintings and drawings hang in private collections in Los Angeles, Denver, New York and Atlanta. My film bio can be viewed on IMDB.
